Roofing Contractor in Escambia County, FL
Roofing across Escambia County
Escambia is the westernmost county in Florida, and it really splits into two different roofing worlds. Along Perdido Key, Pensacola Beach, and the neighborhoods hugging the bay, salt air is the main enemy. It eats through nail heads, corrodes metal flashing, and pits older fasteners faster than most folks expect. Inland, in places like Cantonment, Molino, and Century up near the Alabama line, the trouble is UV and heat. Years of direct sun cook the oils out of asphalt shingles until they curl, crack, and drop granules into the gutters.
Pensacola is the county seat and the biggest city. The unincorporated communities around it, Ferry Pass, Brent, Bellview, Ensley, Gonzalez, Myrtle Grove, and West Pensacola, hold a lot of the county's housing. You see a real mix out here. Postwar block homes with low-slope additions, brick ranches, newer subdivisions with architectural shingles, and coastal properties that lean toward metal because it holds up better against wind and salt.
The problems we actually see
Most calls start the same way. A brown ring on a bedroom ceiling. Shingles lifted or missing after a summer squall line rolls through. A pipe boot that dry-rotted and cracked, letting water track down into the attic. Flashing that pulled loose around a chimney or a wall. Clogged gutters that let water back up under the shingle edge and rot the fascia.
We look at all of it during a roof inspection and tell you straight whether it's a roof repair or whether the roof has reached the end of its life. Plenty of roofs in Escambia County can get years more out of a targeted fix. Others, especially ones that came through Hurricane Ivan or Sally with patched-over damage, are better off with a full roof replacement.
Storms, wind, and insurance
Escambia County has seen some of the worst storms in Florida's recent history. Ivan in 2004 and Sally in 2020 both did heavy roof damage here. Wind lifts shingles, drives rain under the deck, and pulls at ridge lines and edges. After a storm, the damage is not always something you can spot from the ground.
We photograph and document storm damage so you have a clear record to support an insurance claim. To be straight with you, we do not file or negotiate claims and we make no promises about outcomes. What we do is give you thorough, honest documentation and an estimate you can hand to your adjuster. If you have an active leak, our 24/7 emergency service can get a tarp up and stop the water before it spreads.
Materials and what fits here
Asphalt shingles are still the common choice, and a good one when they're installed right with proper ventilation. Metal makes a lot of sense near the coast for its wind and salt resistance. Flat and low-slope roofs on additions and commercial buildings need their own systems and their own careful flashing details. We handle residential and commercial work, and financing is available if a project runs larger than you planned for.
If you're closer to our home base, we also cover Brevard County and Volusia County on the east coast. Wherever your roof is in Escambia County, the first step is the same. Book a free inspection and free written estimate, and we'll tell you honestly what your roof needs.

Had a brown stain spreading across the ceiling after the last round of summer storms. They came out for a free inspection, tracked it to lifted shingles near the ridge, and had it patched within the week. Straight answer, fair price.
We were sure we needed a full replacement. They pulled up on the roof, showed me photos on their phone, and told me a repair would carry us a few more years. I appreciated not getting pushed into something I did not need yet.
Full tear off and replacement done in a few days. The crew swept the yard for nails every evening and left it cleaner than they found it. The new roof handles the salt air and heat a lot better than the old one.
